Adam Brooks, GB News: Who He Is, His Pubs, Boxing Record and Politics

Adam Brooks is an Essex publican who became one of GB News’ most recognisable regular voices without hosting a show of his own. He owns two pubs near Epping Forest, writes opinion columns for the channel, fights in celebrity boxing and backs Reform UK without standing for it. What makes him worth a profile now is the numbers. UK searches for “Adam Brooks GB News” have run at almost five times their old level since September 2025, and we traced which moments drove them.

In short

  • Who: Essex pub owner (The Three Colts in Buckhurst Hill and The Owl in Loughton) and GB News panellist and columnist. He first became known in 2020 and 2021 by campaigning against lockdown rules for pubs.
  • Boxing: we could verify three Misfits bouts: two wins and one loss, most recently a unanimous decision over Rahim Pardesi in June 2026.
  • Our finding: searches for him averaged about 1,250 a month before September 2025 and about 6,000 a month in the year since. Most spikes line up with a dated clash, column or fight.

Who is Adam Brooks from GB News?

He grew up above his family’s pubs in London and went on to run his own in Essex. He came to national attention during the Covid lockdowns through videos and posts as @EssexPR. In them he accused the government of “throwing good pubs and other businesses to the wolves for no good scientific reason”, as GB News’ Money Talks put it in May 2022. By then he had more than 240,000 followers on Twitter.

At the channel he is a regular panellist, studio guest and opinion writer rather than a presenter with a slot. That is why you will not find him on the channel’s presenter list or in its full line-up of GB News presenters. His columns cover pubs, migration, knife crime and the fight on the right between Reform UK and Restore Britain. The channel’s author page calls him an ex-police officer, publican and political commentator.

He has not published his date of birth. Press and blog profiles put him in his mid-forties, and he has said publicly that he is a father of three.

Which pub does Adam Brooks own?

He owns two pubs in Essex, according to a 2022 interview on the channel:

Pub Town
The Three Colts Buckhurst Hill
The Owl Loughton

The Three Colts was hit by an arson attack on 6 February 2021, in the middle of the lockdown fight that made him famous. A Loughton man was jailed for five years and four months for the attack in October 2021, the Yellow Advertiser reported.

Adam Brooks’ boxing record

Searches for “Adam Brooks boxing” run at about 1,000 a month, but no single page lists his fights. These are the three bouts we could confirm from fight reports:

Date Event Opponent Result
17 Nov 2023 Misfits X Series 011 Mark “Rhino” Smith Won by knockout
11 May 2024 Misfits X Series 14, Troxy, London King Kenny (Kenny Ojuederie) Lost by TKO, round 2
13 Jun 2026 Misfits Boxing 23, AO Arena, Manchester Rahim Pardesi Won on points, 40-36 on all three cards

The 2024 fight was billed as a campaign against knife crime under the slogan “Knives Down”. He explained the cause personally on air. He said his own father was killed by a machete gang after standing up to men who had threatened customers at the family pub, when he was a child. The Pardesi win in June 2026 was his clearest result, a shut-out on every scorecard, according to Fightmag.

Is Adam Brooks in Reform UK?

He supports Reform UK, but we found no record that he has stood for it. In a column on 18 February 2026 he argued that Reform had “the momentum, the recognition and the numbers”. Splitting the vote with Restore Britain, he wrote, would only help the left. He wrote as “the publican and broadcaster” and did not say he was a party member.

We also checked the ballot where a run would have been most likely. At the Epping Forest District Council election on 7 May 2026, which covers both of his pubs’ towns, Reform UK won 12 seats, and his name does not appear on any ballot. For now he is a commentator who backs a party, not a candidate.

Why do so many people search for Adam Brooks?

Monthly UK searches for him rose from about 1,250 a month before September 2025 to about 6,000 a month afterwards, peaking at 11,182 in September 2025

From September 2024 to August 2025, UK searches for his name plus “GB News” averaged 1,253 a month, according to Ahrefs data. From September 2025 to August 2026 they averaged 5,996, almost five times more. He did not get a show of his own in that time. Instead, the spikes line up with dated moments:

Month Searches What happened
Sep 2025 11,182 He attended the Unite the Kingdom march in London on 13 September and wrote about it for GB News two days later
Jan–Feb 2026 about 6,400 a month A public row with Deborah Meaden on X, then his GB News outburst on 2 February calling Zack Polanski “a danger to this country”
Mar 2026 1,572 The quietest month of the year
May 2026 9,259 No single event found; possibly the build-up to his June fight
Sep 2026 8,975 A deleted post on 1 September attacking Andy Burnham over “PMQs” on a Tuesday

The pattern says something about how GB News builds names. People search “Adam Brooks GB News” (6,000 a month) more often than his name alone (4,300). The plain name is shared with a footballer, a filmmaker and a wrestler. The channel’s brand does the identifying.

Two claims we checked

The size of the march. In his column of 15 September 2025, he wrote that he saw “somewhere between three-quarters of a million and a million people” at Unite the Kingdom. The Metropolitan Police estimated 110,000 to 150,000, as Full Fact reported. His figure was five to nine times the police estimate.

The “PMQs” post. On 1 September 2026 he criticised Andy Burnham for a session that lasted more than three hours. Prime Minister’s Questions takes place on Wednesdays and usually lasts well under an hour; the session he meant was a longer Commons appearance on the Tuesday. The post was deleted after replies pointed this out, The Poke reported.

Adam Brooks’ wife and family

He has spoken on air about being a father of three. He keeps his family out of his public work, so we do not name his wife or children. Several sites print a first name for his wife, but we could not trace it to anything he or a reputable outlet has published.

Our verdict: he is less a TV presenter than a brand the channel built. He is the publican’s voice the channel returns to when it wants a view from the pub, the protest or the boxing ring. His profile has grown on moments of conflict rather than on a show, and two of his most shared claims did not survive a basic check. That is worth knowing when you see the next clip.

How we checked

His words and roles come from his own columns and interviews on the channel. His boxing record comes from fight reports on Fightmag, Bloody Elbow and Tapology, the court case from the Yellow Advertiser, and the ballot check from the Wikipedia record of the May 2026 Epping Forest election. Search figures come from Ahrefs UK data, read on 28 September 2026. The averages and the month-by-month table are our own calculations, and the link between a spike and an event is our reading of dated reports, not proof of cause. We have not interviewed him, and we have no link to GB News or any party. If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page and we will correct it with a dated note.
